Review of Drunk Elephant Skincare Products

Review of Drunk Elephant Skincare Products

A month after receiving Drunk Elephant Skincare products, it’s time for a review!

Disclaimer: I love using these products, they’ve become a skin regimen of mine. I would use this and that product before but didn’t find a whole line that worked for me until now!

In my opinion a good skincare product should meet a certain criteria:

  • Should be fragrance-free.

  • It shouldn’t contain fragrant essential oils.

  • It should be mostly natural.

  • But it should also use clinically tested and proven ingredients.

  • It shouldn’t contain parabens or silicones.

  • It should feel good on your skin.

  • It should have an effective pH.

  • It shouldn’t contain any ingredients you’ve never heard of.

  • It should work!

Here’s a list of the products I’ve tried from Drunk Elephant:

A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream

C-Firma™ Day Serum - 15ml Midi-Size

Protini™ Polypeptide Cream

T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™

C-Firma™ Day Serum

T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum

Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum

Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser

Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30

Ingredients

Drunk Elephant is free of parabens, sulfates, SLS, essential oils – they believe “if there’s any doubt, it’s out”. It’s also made in America.

Usage

2 things you need to be conscious of before using this product: 1) know if your skin is tolerant to chemical exfoliants; and 2) know if your skin is typically dry or oily.

I did notice some products left my skin dry so I recommend using the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil often.

Also some products have tips provided on the packaging, I recommend following each tip.

Price

Price range-wise, these would be on the higher end of the spectrum. Prices range from $25 - $134.

Packaging

The colors stand out, each product is packaged in a strategic container, and each product has detailed instructions on how to use/what the product does. Some products even include tips on how to get the best results. In general the packaging is kept really simple and the products are easily accessible.

More about my skin

I love trying new skincare products but because I have sensitive skin, lots of products cause me to breakout.

However, Drunk Elephant products didn’t cause my skin to breakout! In fact every product I tried did exactly what it said it would on the item description.

I typically don’t get pimples but when I do, they occur in the t-zone area of my face. My skin can get greasy in that area which is something I hate. I don’t have acne prone skin but I do get pimples randomly. If your skin is similar to mine I would 100% recommend you try all of there products.

The Verdict

If you don’t have any skin challenges, but you want softer, smoother, more radiant skin – there products will have your skin glowing, bouncy, and smooth overnight.

If you do have acne I would suggest trying each product but one at a time. Make sure to test each product for at least a full 24hrs, that way you can distinguish what works and what doesn’t. I’ve also heard the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ works wonders on acne prone skin; its like an at home facial!

Total score for Drunk Elephant Skincare products? 5/5 for me!
