My Self-Care Checklist
I’m constantly busy but I’ve found that making time for self-care is necessary. Here are a few things I like to do as a part of my self-care routine.
Write Down Daily Affirmations - The 5 Minute Journal helps me focus on happiness in my life, become more mindful, and live with intention. I suggesting getting the app or book and taking time out of your day for self reflection.
Work Out In The Morning- I honestly find that working out in the morning gives me energy that lasts all day. If you already force yourself to workout throughout the week, it feels accomplishing when you work out in the morning and don’t have to think about going to the gym for the rest of the day.
Spa Day- Schedule a message or facial! It helps me relax and clear my mind plus, it’s like a mini vacation.
Taking A Walk Outside- Simple but satisfying! I like to take a walk to the nearest coffee shop, get an iced chi-tea latte and reflect on my day.
Take A Break From Social Media- A MUST! It helps to take breaks from social media and focus on something you haven’t had a chance to work on. Maybe there’s a book you’ve been dying to read or a recipe you’ve been wanting to try. I knock so much off my to-do list when I limit myself on social media.
Wind Down- Take a hot bath, dim the lights, light a candle and turn on a chill playlist or your favorite Netflix show(this is definitely my goto).
Blog About It- I honestly started this blog to help destress. I get to blog about emotions, ideas etc. and this allows me to relax. You don’t have to blog but it can be helpful to write down your thoughts and feelings before bed to clear your mind.
